Community Guidelines
Last updated: March 23, 2026
Avatar Arcade is a place to have conversations with AI characters — ones built by us and ones built by creators like you. These guidelines explain what we expect from everyone on the platform. They apply to all content: avatar configurations, personality prompts, voice samples, images, conversations, and reports.
The full legal version is in our Terms of Service. This page is the plain-language version.
The Short Version
Be creative. Be respectful. Don't use the platform to harm people or steal their work.
What's Welcome
- Original characters with unique personalities and voices
- Fan-inspired avatars that celebrate the things you love (see "Fan Content" below)
- Creative, edgy, or mature themes — we don't police tone
- Experimentation with different voices, styles, and conversation approaches
- Honest feedback through the reporting system when something doesn't look right
What's Not Allowed
Absolutely Prohibited
These will result in immediate removal and may be reported to law enforcement:
- Child exploitation. Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors (CSAM). Zero tolerance.
- Credible threats of violence. Content designed to threaten, plan, or incite real-world violence against specific people or groups.
- Content that facilitates illegal activity. Instructions for creating weapons, synthesizing drugs, or other dangerous illegal acts.
Not Permitted
These will be removed and may lead to account restrictions:
- Impersonation of real people without their verifiable consent — this includes cloning someone's voice or likeness without permission.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery — real or AI-generated deepfakes of real individuals in sexual or intimate contexts.
- Hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Harassment and bullying — content designed to intimidate, demean, or threaten specific individuals.
- Promotion of self-harm — content that encourages or instructs self-injury or suicide.
- Intellectual property theft — uploading copyrighted voice samples, images, or other content you don't have the right to use. See "Fan Content" below for the distinction.
- Deceptive content — avatars designed to mislead users about who or what they're talking to.
- Spam and abuse — creating duplicate avatars to game discovery, filing false reports, or using bots.
Fan Content
We know creators love building avatars inspired by their favorite characters and stories. Fan content is welcome on Avatar Arcade, with a few things to keep in mind:
- You take on the IP risk. We don't make legal judgments about whether your fan avatar qualifies as fair use — that's your call. If a rights holder objects, we'll follow the DMCA process described in our Terms of Service.
- Don't pretend to be official. Fan avatars shouldn't create confusion about endorsement or affiliation with the original creator or rights holder.
- We may have to take it down. If a rights holder files a complaint, we're legally required to act on it. That's not a judgment on your creativity — it's how copyright law works.
How We Enforce These Guidelines
Three Layers
We use a combination of tools to keep the platform safe:
- During creation — the Avatar Assistant will flag clear violations while you're building. It won't block fan content or police your creative choices.
- Before publishing — an automated screen checks your avatar's configuration against these guidelines when you activate it. If something's flagged, you'll get a clear explanation and a chance to edit.
- After publishing — users can report content, and we review reports with a combination of automated tools and human review.
What Happens When Content Is Reported
- We review the report and the content in question.
- If the content clearly violates these guidelines, the avatar is suspended from public access while we resolve the issue.
- The creator is notified with the reason (but never the reporter's identity).
- We resolve reports by either restoring the content (if the report was unfounded) or removing it.
Enforcement Ladder
We try to be proportional:
- Warning — for first-time or minor issues, with a chance to fix it.
- Content removal — the specific avatar is taken down.
- Temporary suspension — your ability to publish is paused.
- Permanent termination — reserved for severe or repeated violations.
Severe violations (CSAM, credible violence threats) skip straight to permanent termination.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal within 30 days by emailing support@avatararcade.ai with your account info and the reason you disagree. We'll review and respond within 15 business days.

These Guidelines Will Evolve
As the platform grows and we learn from the community, we'll update these guidelines. We'll let you know about significant changes through the app.
